Engineers have been, for millennia, the builders of the future. These days, in which the future is written as it unfolds, the role of engineers is essential for humankind, for the development of new technology, such as for environmental sustainability. This is the reason why today’s engineers are the most in-demand professionals and it is our responsibility, as educators and managers of engineering education, to train more and better professionals.
In order to fulfill these requirements, collaboration between people and institutions is essential and, in our global world, we need to do it across borders and cultures. This is the reason why organizations like IFEES, become increasingly important and relevant. It is my duty to lead this organization to continue its mission by promoting Engineering Education all over the world.
I am honored to serve as the 2014-2016 IFEES President. My thanks to the IFEES’s members for electing me for this position. I will do my best in order to meet their expectations.
