About CONFEDI

CONFEDI is a non-profit Civil Association that brings together deans, deans and former deans of more than 120 public and private faculties throughout the country, being the highest representative of Engineering education at the national level. For more than 30 years, they have been working on the continuous improvement of the training of Engineers, being the main protagonists in the development of educational policies that position Argentine engineering in a place of reference at the regional level.

About the Representative

Oscar Manuel Pascal

Doctor in Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia.  His research area “Integration of Information Technologies in Organizations”.  Master in Business Administration from the University of Baltimore.  Industrial Engineer, graduated from the Faculty of Engineering of the National University of Lomas de Zamora, Academic Unit of which he has been dean since 1996.

Secretary General of CONFEDI, and former president of the Graduate Commission.  He participated in the creation of the Argentine Network of Engineering Doctorates (RADoI).  Founding member of the Argentine Mechatronic Engineering Networks (RAIM), Railway Engineering (RAIF) and Mechanical Engineering Careers (FODAMEC).

President of the Institute for Research in Industrial Engineering (I4) and Honorary President of the Institute for Research in Technology and Education (IIT & E), both Associated Centers of the Commission for Scientific Research under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Education of the Province of Buenos Aires

Professor of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in various institutions in the country and abroad, Director of the Doctorate in Engineering with a major in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from FIUNLZ Accredited by CONEAU.

Researcher category I (one) in the Incentives program, since 1998 he has continuously directed various programs and projects in his areas of specialty: Quality, Economy, Local Development and Innovation and Information and Communication Technologies in organizations.  He directs Technological Development projects with social impact aimed at providing solutions to the socio-productive environment.  He has numerous presentations at academic scientific events and has also published numerous publications in national and international academic journals.

To date he has supervised more than 20 Master’s and Doctorate theses in Argentina and abroad (Rey Juan Carlos, Complutense and Polytechnic University of Valencia, among others) and has served as a Jury for Master’s and Doctorate theses and teaching competitions  numerous opportunities.  He is summoned periodically to integrate academic committees of scientific events in the field of national and international engineering.  Project evaluator summoned by the Ministry of Education of the Nation, Ministry of Science and Technology of the Nation and various National Universities.

Member of the Scientific Committee of the Journal of Industrial and Mechanical Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering of Lomas de Zamora (RIIyM)
