In order to actively promote the realization of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the wide publicity of the World Engineering Day, International Centre for Engineering Education under the auspices of UNESCO (ICEE) will hold the “2022 Academic Forum on Engineering Education and Engineering Culture ” on March 1-2,2022, before the third World Engineering Day 2022 (World Engineering Day falls on March 4 every year).

With the theme of “Engineering Education Reform and Sustainable Development – Call for Young People and Women to Participate in Engineering Education”, the academic forum is co-organized by Tsinghua Symposium of Tsinghua University, supported by the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO), International Science, Technology and Innovation Centre for South-South Cooperation under the auspices of UNESCO (ISTIC), and Chinese Women’s Research Society.

Calling for young people and women to participate in engineering education is an important slogan in UNESCO’s 2021 Engineering Report Engineering for Sustainable Development. It is also an activity advocated by the World Engineering Day. We hope that more young people, especially girls, will consider engineering as a career through these extensive efforts.

This academic forum takes the form of a combination of online and offline.You are invited to join our discussion session!

We are honored to announce that our Rising to the Top book series has added TWO new volumes!

Rising to the Top provides an intimate and inspiring look into the experiences that have shaped the lives and careers of women engineering leaders from around the world. By openly sharing their personal journeys in these pages, the authors hope to not only inspire the next generation of engineering leaders, but also provide valuable insight into the challenges facing women engineers around the world, and the opportunities that are theirs for the taking.
