How to Bring Climate Literacy to All Engineering Students: Free Teaching Resources from Engineering for One Planet

In celebration of World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development on March 4, Engineering for One Planet (EOP) and IFEES-GEDC are collaborating to launch a free teaching tool for integrating climate education into engineering courses: Engineering for One Planet Framework: Vetted Teaching Activities for a Thriving Future in a Changing Climate.

On March 4, join Cindy Anderson, EOP co-founder and strategy consultant with The Lemelson Foundation to learn about this new offering and other free teaching resources that are bridging the gap in sustainability education for future engineers.. You’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of the EOP initiative and the ways this growing community is working to support systemic change in engineering education so that every graduating engineer will be equipped with the skills, knowledge, mindsets and experiences to protect and improve our planet and the life it sustains.

During this webinar, participants will:
● Be among the first to learn about EOP’s new climate-focused teaching guide
● Learn about free, online EOP resources —all updated in 2026— focused on sustainability and climate education
● Understand how EOP resources align to all seven ABET student outcomes as well as UN SDGs and Bloom’s Taxonomy
● Explore real world examples of course, program, and institutional change from across engineering disciplines
● Hear stories of EOP partnerships to advance sustainability in STEM education
● Discover EOP’s funding, mentorship, training, and recognition opportunities
● Discover how to take immediate action and get involved with EOP
