About the Conference

The 11th UNESCO Africa Engineering Week and 9th African Engineering Conference (11AEW&9AEC) is a premier gathering of engineering professionals, academics, and industry leaders from across Africa and beyond.

Hosted by the Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE), this year’s event focuses on sustainable engineering solutions for Africa’s development challenges, fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovation.

Overview of the UNESCO–AEW&AEC 2025 Program

The programme of events will run for fourteen (14) days, with the first week being for the training on Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture while the second week will be for the Engineering week and conference.

The 11th UNESCO Africa Engineering Week and 9th African Engineering Conference will be held from September 8-20, 2025, at the Speke Resort Convention Centre in Kampala, Uganda.

The first week (September 8-12) will feature training on Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture, while the second week (September 14-20) will host the main Engineering Week and Conference events.
