About UET

The University of Emerging Technologies (UET) complements the existing universities/colleges and offers online for-credit (by the American Council on Education) and not-for-credit courses in emerging technologies. UET provides (1) short certificate courses (Nano and Micro degrees) and (2) continuing / executive education classes, and also (3) helps partner universities and colleges in recruiting international students. UET focuses on job-ready and deployable skills; hence, it is socially responsible commerce. UET credits are transferable to most colleges and universities in the US, Canada, and globally.

Business & Technology professional with 30+ years of experience in Process Control, Systems Engineering, Product Development, Business Transformations, and Business Systems (IT Infrastructure, ERPs, CRMs, Web Applications, Reporting, etc.). Specially focused on Emerging Technologies and Digital transformations with Data Science, IoT, and Analytics for the last six years. Chairman of a non-profit board (The Emerging Tech Foundation) advocating for “Applied Technologists” vs. pure technologists. Alumni leader for Kellogg School of Management, Advisory Board member for Rutgers University @SF for their Data Science program. Lived and worked in 9 different countries, had global experience, managed a global team of 250 people, and budgets up to $40 M. Very Strategic & Managerial, and Hands-on & nimble.

Dr. K. MANIVANNAN

Dr. K. Manivannan is a distinguished academic leader and administrator with over 37 years of experience in engineering education, research, and institutional development. He currently serves as the Dean – External Affairs at the RMK Group of Institutions, Chennai, where he drives global collaborations, academic partnerships, and strategic outreach initiatives.Dr. Manivannan holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Fluid Mechanics, earned with distinction, and an M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. His academic expertise spans Theoretical Computer Science, Theoretical Fluid Mechanics, Fuzzy Logic and Transform Techniques, reflecting a strong interdisciplinary foundation.
A key highlight of his career is his sustained global engagement through the International Federation for Engineering Education Societies (IFEES) since 2016 and the World Engineering Education Forum (WEEF) & Global Engineering Deans Council (GEDC) since 2010. He served on the IFEES Executive Committee for two consecutive terms (2016–2018 and 2018–2020) and was subsequently appointed as Vice-President (Industry & Academia Relations) of IFEES.

A landmark achievement of his global leadership was the successful organization of WEEF 2019 in Chennai, India the first time this prestigious conference was held in India serving as CoChair. The event brought together GEDC and IFEES delegates from across the world and significantly elevated regional engineering education leadership in the Indian subcontinent.He is also a strong advocate for innovation and entrepreneurship, serving as Coordinator of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC), supported by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. He has contributed extensively to quality assurance frameworks including NAAC, NBA, NIRF, and QS I-Gauge.Additionally, Dr. Manivannan served as Secretary/Treasurer of GEDC (2020–2023) and Chair of the GEDC India Chapter, as well as National Vice-President of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), New Delhi. Widely respected for his integrity, vision, and teambuilding abilities, Dr. Manivannan continues to inspire academic communities across the globe
