Virtual Settings on Learning Options for Engineers. An Experience at Facultad Regional del Neuquén. Universidad Tecnológica Nacional

The aim of this work is to deepen into the understanding of emergent virtual settings which challenge traditional educative structures and to get fully involved concerning teaching Engineering in the new learning scenarios. The pedagogical strategies are designed for the educational platform Moodle with the objective of complementing the traditional face-to face teacher-student way to teach General Chemistry. Analysis of the development by quantity and quality strategies let us interpret the factors that favour the processes of teaching, comprehensive learning and the substantial improvement of interactive procedures among participants. We strongly believe that educative technologies give new opportunities to the engineering studies, improve access and keep students in the system, enhance the organization at university and facilitate social inclusion. The conclusions arrived at could be actively considered as a potential line of investigation in other subjects related to Engineering in the future.
