USO DEL ANÁLISIS DE LAS NECESIDADES DOCENTES EN LAS DECISIONES SOBRE LA FORMACIÓN PROFESORAL EN INGENIERÍA

The quality of engineering education depends largely of the pedagogical performance of professors and for this reason it crucial to include programs for updating and improvement of teaching within the development plans of the institutions. The design and implementation of these programs can benefit from the involvement of teachers add to external diagnosis and recommendations.
A survey conducted one hundred and fifty teachers in a seminar organized by the Colombian Association of Faculties of Engineering ACOFI identified and characterizes twenty factors associated with deficiencies of the engineering faculty. The analysis of the results of the exercise suggests some actions that can help improve the quality of teaching in engineering programs.
Share this experience with those responsible for the qualification of teaching in engineering can encourage the development of cooperation projects to facilitate the exchange of national experiences and the construction of a common space of engineering professor education.
