Paradigm shifts in engineering education respond to the profound changes in the situation verified in recent decades. There is broad agreement that the requirement of functional skills to labor market requirements are added to those that allow the future professionals to walk the path of entrepreneurship as a possibility of professional development throughout their career. Besides it has been appreciated the need for engineering professionals to enhance and understand their role as change agents to act with strong social commitment. This paper summarizes the characteristics and impact on students in a curricular intervention of the National University of
General Sarmiento that accounts explicitly the three cited purposes.
