Stephen Lu, from the University of Southern California, has been selected to receive the 2015 IFEES Duncan Fraser Global Award for Excellence in Engineering Education. Dr. Lu is being recognized for his work for the development of the iPodia pedagogy and the Viterbi iPodia (ViP) program. The award was presented to Dr. Lu during WEEF 2015 at the IFEES Awards Dinner on the evening of September 22nd, 2015. The IFEES Duncan Fraser Global Award is generously sponsored by Dassault Sytèmes, who has contributed to the award for the past five years. Additionally, Granta Design and National Instruments also provide support for the award.
The IFEES Duncan Fraser Global Award for Excellence in Engineering Education recognizes individuals who have made innovative and meritorious contributions having a significant impact on the advancement of engineering education. The 2015 Duncan Fraser Global Award Committee reviewed the 2015 nominations and provided their insight to the IFEES Executive Committee, who in turn made selected Stephen Lu as the 2015 recipient. The 2015 Duncan Fraser Global Award Committee was chaired by Michael Auer and included Bopaya Bidanda, Stephanie Farrell, Anette Kolmos, Euan Lindsay and Tan Moorthy.
