Retención y Desgranamiento en la Carrera de Ingeniería Química de la Universidad Tecnológica Nacional Facultad Regional Buenos Aires

This work analyzes data on retention and attrition of students in the career of Chemical Engineering of the UTN – FRBA, as elements necessary for the evaluation of the projects and actions implemented since 2003: institutional system of mentoring, curriculum modifications, improvements in the practical training and infrastructure, teacher training and student welfare, from systematic follow-up of cohorts 2003-2010, complementing its analysis with some indicators of impact resultants of the implementation of the carried out actions. It is important to mention that for the characteristics that have, the implementation of these projects is considered object of continuous improvement at departmental and institutional level, in the mark of the evaluation that is carried out periodically on the same ones, considering that the results that they show up in this work they only allow to mark a tendency, since projects of this scale must be evaluated in its entirety in the medium and long term.
