Believe that a reflection on the language allows individuals construct their identity, reality and act on to establish interpersonal relationships. University environment requires knowledge communication by student consistent with the established discursive conventions, on the other side also is expected that graduated meets the requirements of communication within their profession. This is when the knowledge and practice of language becomes a crucial skill for engineering education. We argue the need to further deepen the interdisciplinary model established since 2005 in the Facultad Regional San Nicolás, strengthen monitoring mechanisms and expand channels of participation. The activities proposed from now on aim at strengthening language communication skills in engineering must address questions specific to disciplinary field, as well as daily opportunities offered by the teachers in their classrooms.
