The paper presents experiences about students’ reincorporation to university life in order to complete their education. This study was applied in the Information System Engineering career, at Córdoba Regional Faculty of National Technology University. The different measures applied represented an innovation in academic practices for the time being, and allowed directives to get involved in the desertion problematic and act accordingly. The presence of curricular modifications or changes in the career syllabus is a subject that surpasses experience development and transforms, according to the career directives, in the fundamental indicator in order to evaluate the problematic. The implementation of the new syllabus was designed so it would reduce the impact in desertion, but students that weren’t regularly assisting to university were put in the need to readapt to the new scenario.
