Recent Executive Committee Conference Call

The current IFEES Executive Committee "met" this past Monday, 23 November to discuss several items including election of IFEES Vice Presidents for the 2010-2011 term, the meeting between several IFEES members in Mangalore, India in December, and next year's IFEES Summit in Singapore.

II International Conference on Ethics and Human Values in Engineering

The World Federation of Engineering Organisations (WFEO), the largest worldwide organisation representing engineers and engineering organisations, and the Chair “ENDESA Red” of Human Values in Engineering Victoriano Muñoz Oms of the Technical University of Catalonia, Spain, will hold the II International Conference on Ethics and Human Values in Engineering in Barcelona, Spain, from March 2nd to the 4th of 2010. WEEF 2010 Planning Blog

For NUS, IFEES, GEDC, IACEE, and SPEED representatives who are involved in planning for the World Engineering Education Forum in Singapore next year, please see the new blog for updates on individual and corporate program updates. The IFEES Secretariat has created this blog for the purpose of reducing email flooding, and centralising information regarding the Forum. If you would like to add updates, please notify Stephanie Eng.

IFEES Member Societies Coming Together in Mangalore

The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) will hold its 39th Annual Convention at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal from December 18 -20, 2009. A National Conference on “Managing Technical Education for Leveraging Innovation and Entrepreneurship” will be organized as a part of the convention. The founding meeting for an Indian Chapter of the GEDC will also take place. SPEED will be facilitating workshops before and after the ISTE conference.

IFEES Publication on Engineering Education on a Global Scale

Several IFEES member society representatives have collaborated to write an extensive piece on engineering education on a global scale which will be published in a future UNESCO book. This report can be found here.

SEFI to temporarily host EUGENE website
