IFEES Website Survey Results Announced
The IFEES Secretariat would like to thank IFEES members for taking time to participate in the recent IFEES website survey and providing their valuable input. According to this feedback, most of the respondents use IFEES website regularly and find it useful. While many of them find content and layout of the website user-friendly, there are some things that could be further improved.
One of the most important goals of the website is to provide IFEES members with necessary tools to promote engineering education. Also, many have pointed out a necessity to create a forum for member discussions and better linkage between academic and corporate partners. Although IFEES website is not intended to be another social networking site, the Secretariat aims to add additional features that, hopefully, will address some of the concerns. The next step forward would be creating a couple of additional pages that will provide resources and information submitted by members. Therefore, members are encouraged to send in interesting publications, resources and other information they would like to share with fellow members.
The Secretariat would also like to build a "facts and questions" page, outlining clearly the goals and objectives of IFEES, as well as addressing questions from the potential members. Considering that Secretariat of IFEES and ASEE office have limited resources, the changes will take place gradually and we aim to implement these additions in the coming months. The result of the website survey are available here.
