IFEES Colleague Becomes ASEAN Fellow
Dr. Seeram Ramakrishna, Dean of Engineering at the National
University of Singapore, was elected Fellow of the Association
of Southeast Asian Nationas (ASEAN) Academy of Engineering
and Technology (AAET) in November at the Academy's annual
meeting in Cebu, Philippines. The AAET is the authoritative
body providing strategic research, study and advice for the
advancement of engineering and technology for the benefit
of Southeast Asian countries. Dr. Ramakrishna is Vice President
of the International Federation of Engineering Education (IFEES),
of which ASEE is the Secretariat, and is also chair of the
Executive Committee of the newly formed Global Engineering
Deans Council, which is under the IFEES umbrella. Please join
us in congratulating Dr. Ramakrishna for this significant
honor.
