Linda Krute is the Director of Distance Education Programs for the College of Engineering at North Carolina State University where she is responsible for the coordination of 16 online graduate engineering degree programs, graduate certificate programs, two Bachelor of Science in Engineering distance education programs, and online professional development courses. After completing her PhD from Oklahoma State University, she worked at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and helped to create the Engineering Online programs there before joining NC State. Previous experiences included her roles as a faculty member, coordinator of conferences and continuing education coordinator. As an active member and fellow of the American Society for Engineering Association, she has served in leadership positions with the College-Industry Partnership Division, Continuing Professional Development Division and the Graduate Studies Division. Serving as the IFEES representative for the International Association for Continuing Engineering Education (IACEE), Linda has had many opportunities to learn about international online and distance education programs and explore one of her interests in the development of international partnerships in the delivery of online courses and programs.
