This presentation sets forth the pedagogical project of Learning Methodology, a subject of the first year of all the Engineering careers at the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires. The program aims at the development of competences, particularly innovation. To this end, students carry out a research pursuant to the guidelines of the scientific-technologic method in a field and an area determined by chair. The result is an engineer solution empirically proved and applied to a specific situation. Its development requires the application of theoretical and technical knowledge, creativity and design. This project is based on the principles of cognitive psychology and of strategic learning. Here we set out, along with the epistemological and pedagogical foundations, the characteristics of the teaching team and the main didactic decisions taken for the organization of contents and activities and the evaluation thereof.
