Ingreso sustentable a la Universidad

According to Gillis (2000), “Today, more than ever before in the history of humanity, wealth or poverty of Nations depends on the quality of higher education”. Institutions analyze relationships among themselves and the society so as to strengthen the relevance of the strategic role of higher education. But to achieve this goal we must be careful and consider the actions that must be taken from the very moment of the entrance of future graduates to institutions of high education. This item is a constant concern in all the institutions of higher level. In this work we reflect on the entrance system and mechanisms for admission, noting the effects of desertion, permanence and graduation with an academic performance of high quality. With the study of different academic documentation, we evaluate the results of implemented strategies, with the aim of improving the stage of transition between high school and the University
