This event is by invitation only.

The International Engineering Alliance is an umbrella organisation for seven multilateral agreements. It comprises members from 35 jurisdictions within 26 countries, across seven international agreements. These international agreements govern the recognition of engineering educational qualifications and professional competence.

Through the three Educational Accords and four Competence Agreements the IEA members establish and enforce internationally-benchmarked standards for the accreditation of engineering educational programmes and expected competence for engineering practice.

A full spectrum of quality standards – exemplars for educational attributes of graduates, exemplars for competencies of professionals, as well as rules and procedures for assessing organisations performing accreditation or registration – support these seven agreements towards achieving IEA’s vision.

Vision

IEA works together for the continual advancement of educational quality and enhancing mobility within the engineering profession globally.

IEA aims to improve the quality, productivity and mobility of engineers by being an accepted independent authority on best practice in standards, assessment and monitoring of engineering education and professional competence.

IEA believes they are the world’s most experienced alliance focusing on engineering educational and professional standards.
