Hacia una Didáctica de la Ingeniería

One of the factors that affects engineers’ formal education is the lack of professional teachers to lead this process. Teachers should know all the necessary tools to be used in the curricular design and its development, which consists of all the different activities carried out with students in the classroom. These stages are very complex and require skillful teachers that understand the teaching and learning processes in engineering which are vital for a future professional career.
Studies in pedagogic methods permit to identify some revealing problems based on: a) Teaching objectives, b) Engineering knowledge, c) Learning theories, d) Notions of meaning and representation, e) Designs of didactic sequencies, f) Fundamental theories of evaluation.
