Estudio del Efecto de una Evaluación Continua sobre la Retención y el Rendimiento de Estudiantes de un Curso de Física del Primer Año de Ingeniería en Sistemas de Información

All school year round 2011 was carried out a continuous evaluation at the first year of the annual course “Physics I” of Information Systems Engineering, that is held in the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional – Facultad Regional Córdoba.
This continuous evaluation consisted on a brief questionnaire that takes place at the end of each theoretical and practical classes. With an annual total of fifteen continuous evaluation and two quarterly partial evaluations, it was compared the retention and the yield of this course with the corresponding for the years 2008, 2009 and 2010 the same turn, teaching, program and career. It was observed that continuous evaluation improved retention in relative values and the yield, in absolute values.
This paper presents the results of experience.
