El entorno industrial de una Facultad de Ingeniería como herramienta para la enseñanza

In recent years, the Schools of Engineering are trying diverse actions to remedy complex problem situations detected mainly during the accreditation processes, as well as some from the academic, scientific, social and political circles. One of these problems is the concern about the poor practical training of the graduates, due primarily to an increase in the number of students and insufficient teaching equipment. Therefore, it is seek to modify the curriculum and the teaching methodologies for students to approach professional practice activities, improving training proposals and researching the impact of them. This paper presents the results of the first experiences in using the Technology Platform – Platec- that the College has within the Industrial Park of the city, as a teaching tool in some subjects of its engineering programs.
