Diseño, implementación y puesta en aula de herramientas alternativas para la actividad de laboratorio en Física.

Physics, as a factual science, requires including experimental practice in the learning process. It is expected that students may relate between different representations and recognize the underlying models. New technologies (NTICs) provide new opportunities and allow to propose new alternatives for experimental work. Besides this, NTICs provide a way to overcome, at least partially, human resources or equipment shortage or the lack of time to develop large programs. It is presented in this communication a proposal for the development of experimental work in two different ways: Java applets based simulations, for simulation based virtual laboratory, and experimental video, in which case work is based on the recording of an experiment. The proposal here included is a study about harmonic oscillator, a fundamental model in Physics.
This paper provides an example that illustrates the guidelines and format required for preparing and submitting your paper to the WEEF, to be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, during October, 2012. The paper must be written in English or Spanish. All papers must include an abstract of no more than 150 words. If the paper is written in Spanish, a translation of the abstract and keywords to English must be included following the abstract. The first page of the paper must include the title, abstract, keywords, translation of the abstract and keywords, as illustrated in this page. The first page must not be numbered. Please make sure submission file is completely blinded; author/s and affiliation information will be added to the paper when it will be included in the conference proceedings CD.
