Camino y logros de una transformación curricular en Ingeniería Química

The conception of what it means to be an engineer, and the role of this professional in society, have been consolidating into new paths lately. In order to form chemical engineers adequately trained for their current challenges, the School of Chemical Engineering of the Pontificia Bolivariana University is carrying out a major curriculum change. The achievements of this project are submitted: the definition of the program educational objectives according to international initiatives, the formulation of a tool for course design, and the development of a sound, attractive and flexible curriculum, for students to configure their educational path according to their interests and capabilities: different tracks to professional qualification, several routes to integrate with postgraduate studies, elective courses in multiple subjects and varied ways to prepare for working life.
