We would like to invite you to submit proposals for the "Global Education Conference", which aims to provide a platform where latest trends in education are presented and discussed in a friendly and multinational environment. Proposals can be either in Turkish or English and for papers, panels, rountables, posters/demonstrations, and workshops. Furthermore if the presenter is unable to attend the oral presentation, the virtual presentations and video presentations are available. The deadline for abstract submission is 11 November 2011 and for full article submission 18 November 2011.

Third International Symposium on Project Approaches in Engineering Education

IFEES members are invited to participate in the PAEE2011 Symposium, held during the First World Engineering Flash Week in Lisbon, Portugal. The Department of Production and Systems and the Research Centre for Education of the University of Minho are hosting the symposium in cooperation with the SEFI Curriculum Development Working Group to join teachers, researchers on Engineering Education, deans of Engineering Schools and professionals concerned with Engineering Education, to enhance Project Approaches in Engineering Education through workshops and discussion of current practice and research.
The PAEE is especially honoured to have inspiring international keynote speakers: Caroline Baillie from the University of Western Australia and Wim Weenk from the University of Twente, the Netherlands.
The deadline for the submission of extended abstracts is 5 March 2011. More information is available in the conference website http://paee.dps.uminho.pt/. The symposium especially welcomes the ASIBEI participants, who can submit contributions in Spanish and Portuguese.

First SEESA Biennial Conference on Engineering Education

The newly founded Society for Engineering Education of South Africa will be launched at its first biennial conference in 2011. SEESA will aim to bring together people in South Africa and beyond who have an interest in engineering education, with the intention of fostering innovation and excellence in this field. The biennial conference will be the primary SEESA forum for sharing, networking and disseminating information. Proposals are invited for papers that will address key challenges and current issues in the field of engineering education in South Africa, at the levels of teaching, curriculum or policy. SEESA invites both research and practice based work. Extended abstracts (1000 words) are due 28 February 2011, and full papers, which are to be peer reviewed, are due 13 June 2011. Abstracts and any queries to be directed to Ms Zulpha Geyer (zulpha dot geyer at uct.ac.za).
