Acompañamiento Integral Como Estrategia Para Aumentar la Permanencia y Reducir el Tiempo de Graduación del Estudiante de Ingeniería

Gran Colombia University, identified the need to strengthen services and processes that facilitate the retention and reduced time to graduation of engineering students, creating strategies to increase academic performance, through the counseling process and the work of the academic community, and succeeded in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of students in different academic areas as well as during periods of evaluation, this identification allows timely intervention in learning styles, methods of study, economic situations, labor relations with colleagues, family and relationships involved in the academic success or failure of engineering students. This multidisciplinary intervention to facilitate student development of engineering skills and potentiates its personal and social behavior, evidenced in student retention and decreased academic failure and therefore the time spent in college.
