Acciones tendientes a mejorar el rendimiento académico en las asignaturas de Análisis Numérico en la Facultad Regional San Nicolás

Retention and reduction of time to graduation from college students is a matter that affects, by one side, students’life, and in the other side, universities, for particular, social and economic reasons. Several studies analyze the factors of dropout of higher education and research on actions to improve graduation rates at universities.
The actions carried out by a group of professors in charge of Numerical Analysis courses of the engineering careers at the Facultad Regional San Nicolás (Universidad Tecnológica Nacional) are shown here, aimed for improving students’ academic performance in these areas, expecting students to pass the exam as soon as possible, after finishing the course. Also, results of a pilot intensive course are shown, for students who had to make the course again.
